The advertising industry is in a love-hate relationship with artificial intelligence, notes The New York Times. In the past few months, the technology has made ads easier to generate and track. AI is writing marketing emails with subject lines and delivery times tailored to specific subscribers. And a recent campaign from Virgin Voyages allowed users to prompt a digital avatar of Jennifer Lopez to issue customized video invitations to a cruise. Exhibitions: A Festival in Tuscany for Documentary Photography

The theme of this year’s Cortona on the Move festival, held annually in Tuscany, is “More or Less,” and the way in which those two categories can be used to understand ourselves and our world. “Across 26 exhibitions, documentary photographers explore the contrasts between wealth and poverty, abundance and scarcity, and the marginal and the mainstream,” notes The Guardian. “I’ve always been very interested in why documentary photography has been so fascinated by poverty,” says photographer and festival artistic director Paolo Woods.   Read the full Story >>

A viral post on Reddit has people talking about a photographer who demanded $1,000 to be trained in the art of equestrian photography. Reddit user u/Flimsy-Field-8321 — a self-proclaimed horse person — met the photographer through a business networking group. Though he usually shoots family portraits and sports events, the photographer hoped to get in with the horsey set. He asked for help, and the Reddit user set him up with a horse trainer who could offer tips. In return, the photographer said he’d make low-cost photos during a horse show.
