Rona Wang, a 24-year-old Asian American graduate student at MIT, was caught by surprise recently, after she prompted the AI image generator Playground AI to create a professional headshot for her LinkedIn profile. The AI turned her into a Caucasian woman with blue eyes. “My initial reaction upon seeing the result was amusement," Wang told Insider. "However, I'm glad to see that this has catalyzed a larger conversation around AI bias and who is or isn't included in this new wave of technology.”

In a TikTok post that has gone viral, a disappointed bride recently revealed the photos she received from her wedding photographer—photos, she said, that made her want to “cry every single day.” The bride, Brooke, noted that she spent $3,000 on a photographer for her October wedding and ended up with the “worst” photos she’d ever seen, reported the New York Post. “They’re just bad, all the way around bad,” said the bride. Some of the photos shown by Brooke do appear to be of low quality, added PetaPixel. One person commented that perhaps the photographer’s SD card malfunctioned and she lost half the photos.
