Two freelance photographers have filed a lawsuit alleging that police unlawfully shot them with rubber bullets during a protest over police racism in Wisconsin three years ago, reports Associated Press. The photographers, Alyssa Schukar and Scott Olson, were covering protests in Kenosha in August 2020 for the New York Times and Getty Images, respectively, two days after teen Kyle Rittenhouse shot three men during a protest on Aug. 23, killing two of them. They allege police used excessive force in violation of their constitutional rights to free speech and due process.

A major new retrospective at the Southhampton Arts Center gives due recognition to the Scottish photojournalist Harry Benson, who has spent over seven decades capturing some of pop culture’s most legendary figures. The exhibition, “A Moment in Time: Iconic Images by Harry Benson,” runs until July 15. Artnet tells the stories behind six of Benson’s iconic images, including a famous pillow fight engaged in by the Beatles in 1964. Now 93, Benson is still snapping away, adds Artnet.
