Social News: Instagram Tests New a Chatbot

Meta could be the latest company to test the social potential of AI chatbots, notes The Verge. A screenshot shared by tech leaker Alessandro Paluzzi on Twitter shows what seems to be an intro screen for the new Instagram feature. It says the chatbots will be able to answer questions, give advice, and help users write messages—they’ll even be able to choose between “30 AI personalities and find which one you like best.” In February, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Meta was “developing AI personas that can help people in a variety of ways,” adds TV.   Read the full Story >>

June Newton didn’t anticipate a life behind the camera; she began her career in front of the camera and on the stage – becoming a star in the Australian film industry in the 1940s. But fate would lead her in another direction. Alongside her husband, the  photographer Helmut Newton, who she met in 1947, she would become one of the most sought-after photographic portraitists of her era.
