British Vogue has revealed five portraits featuring disabled activists, models and creatives for a series of May 2023 covers, a move the magazine hopes will further important conversations around disability in the media and society, notes CNN. The cover images were shot by British portrait and documentary photographer Adama Jalloh. "Making this issue was a necessary and overdue education for all — and taught us many lessons we will carry forward into the future," noted the magazine’s editor in chief, Edward Enninful.

The city of Los Angeles sued documentary photographer and journalist Ben Camacho recently after he published photos of undercover police officers — images that had mistakenly been given to him by the LAPD. After receiving the photos, Camacho, who is a reporter for Knock LA, provided the images to the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, which published them online, notes PetaPixel. The Daily Beast reports that Camacho has filed a countersuit, asking a court to strike down the city’s legal action against him.

Aftermath Project Tuesday April 25, 2023
Photographer Jošt Franko is the recipient of the 2023 Aftermath Project post conflict grant for a project that follows disrupted peoples and landscapes across the former Yugoslavia, three decades after the break-up of the country launched a decade of conflicts and war among the six countries that emerged from its dissolution. The grant is aimed at supporting work that helps illuminate the consequences of conflict. Franko receives $25,000; four other finalist—Matias Bercovich; Aimi Chinen; Musuk Nolte; and Mateusz Sarello—receive $5,000 each.
