Supposed mug shots of former President Donald Trump have circulated on social media for weeks, beginning after his March 18 Truth Social post announcing his impending arrest. But none of them are real, notes Poynter, which notes that no mugshot of Trump was taken he was arraigned on April 4 at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse on 34 criminal charges of falsifying business records for hush money payments to adult film actor Stormy Daniels and others. Industry News: Stock Photography Company EyeEm Files for Bankruptcy

Berlin-based stock photography and technology company EyeEm has filed for bankruptcy after failing to pay any fees to photographers for the entire year, notes Inside Imaging. Both a stock agency and photo sharing social media app, EyeEm launched in 2011 and for a brief period in 2012 was apparently more popular than Instagram in the Apple App store, though the hype was short lived. EyeEm attempted to restructure itself internally in 2020 and was sold to a Swiss investment company. Call for Entries: Outside Magazine's Contest for Photographers and Filmmakers

Outside magazine is launching a winter-focused competition offering photographers and filmmakers “a shot at $40,000 in prize money” and a chance to be featured in the magazine and in the Warren Miller film tour. The entry fee is $30 for one video (three to five minutes in length) or up to five photos. You can submit work in any or all all of three categories—“Thrill”; “Purpose”; and “Awe.” Judges will determine one film finalist and one photo finalist in each category, to be announced in September. Each of the finalists will receive a $5,000 cash prize. Submission period opens on May 1 and closes on July 31.   Read the full Story >>
