Millions of elderly Ukrainians have remained in the country since Russia invaded in February 2022, either unwilling or unable to evacuate, notes NPR, which features a photo report with images by Claire Harbage. People over 60 years old make up nearly one-fourth of Ukraine's population, according to HelpAge, an international nonprofit focused on the elderly. State of the Art: Midjourney's New Feature Lets You Turn Text Into Words

AI models like Midjourney let you use text prompts to create images. But a new feature from Midjourney, called “Describe,” lets users turn images into words. Writing at Medium, Paul DelSignore notes that the feature brings a number of benefits, from improved accessibility for people with visual impairments to better searchability via search engines. Art News: Babe Ruth Bat Sells For Record $1.85M, With Photo Proof

Hunt Auctions has announced the private sale of a bat used by Babe Ruth circa 1920-21 for $1.85 million, a record price for a baseball bat. The sale was predicated with photographic proof of authenticity, notes ESPN: The "Polo Grounds" bat, as it is colloquially known for the stadium the New York Yankees played their home games in until 1922, is matched to a 1921 photo of Ruth swinging it.
