The Photography Prize Jean-Luc Lagardère is awarded to a young professional photographer wishing to carry out a documentary photographic project in France or abroad, in the social, economic, political or cultural field. The grant gives the winner the means to finance a major personal project and to have the time necessary to carry it out. Exhibitions: This Photo Show Wants to Make You Hurt

Barcelona-based photographer Carlota Guerrero’s exhibition at Sainte Anne, a women-run gallery in Paris, has teeth, notes Dazed: When you enter the space, you’re instructed to take off your shoes and stand on a bed of nails to watch Guerrero’s video installation. With her new work, Gurerrero, known for her work with musicians including Solange, Rosalía and Arca, captures the complexity and discomfort of life in a patriarchal society. “While creating these pieces I felt pain, discomfort, pleasure and joy,” Guerrero says.   Read the full Story >>

Followup: DPReview Will Remain Available as an Archive After It Closes

Within days of the announcement the DP Review would be folding, archival efforts by third parties began. But t\it appears that external archiving may be unnecessary, notes PetaPixel: DP Review has released an update about its impending closure and announced an archival effort.  While the website is still slated to shutter, its content appears destined for official preservation.
