Indonesian photographer Priyo Widiyanto is the winner of the Photographer of the Year prize in the 2023 edition of the All About Photos Awards for his image of the Indonesian National Wheelchair Basketball Team during a game. (Appropriately, Widiyanto’s photo was titled “The Winning Shot.") The contest encompasses entries from professional and amateur photographers; the first five places win a total of $10,000 cash prizes and publication in a printed special edition magazine.

Among its features: non-cropped 4K video at up to 120fps; cinemaDNG and ProRes RAW output options; and 14+ stops of dynamic range. The Inspire 3 also comes with an enhanced price tag of $16,499.

Fine-art photographer Roger Ballen’s singular world—a realm where rats roam and monsters mingle with men and everything is covered in grime—is now an actual place. Ballen has opened a cultural space in Johannesburg, South Africa, called the Inside Out Centre for the Arts, and stepping through the building’s winding concrete entrance feels a lot like stepping into one of his photographs, notes Artnet. The first things you’re likely to notice are the human and animal dolls installed in a series of strange tableaux throughout the space.

Photographer Wolfgang Tillmans is on Time magazine’s 2023 list of the world’s most influential people, along with artists including actress Zoe Saldana, sculptor El Anatsui, writers Neil Gaiman and Judy Blume, playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, and film director Rian Johnson. “Tillmans has the unique ability to take his viewer through histories and timelines both real and imagined, as seen in his recent traveling retrospective, ‘To Look Without Fear,’” notes playwright Jeremy O. Harris.
