Industry News: DJI Passes Critical Critical Data Security Metric in U.S. and Canada

DJI says its drone hardware has passed the Cryptographic Module Validation Program, a critical cyber-security benchmark established jointly by the Unites States and Canada. Validation from the globally recognized security standard is important for the Chinese drone maker, which has faced recurrent negative publicity over accusations that its drones share user data with state organizations in China, notes DroneDJ. Specifically, DJI Core Crypto Engine – a firmware hybrid cryptographic module that provides foundational security services for the entire platform — passed the test.
