His own images defined and transcended the seven-decade era in which he worked, notes Blind, which spotlights the exhibition “Horst P. Horst: Essence of the Times,” from the SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film. Situated within the SCAD Atlanta campus, SCAD FASH focuses on the future of fashion design, connecting conceptual to historical principles of dress.

Several social media groups are refusing to post photos of snowy owls in an attempt to discourage the "paparazzi-like behavior" of some photographers, reports Newsweek. The Facebook group Maine Wildlife, which boasts over 127,000 members, is among those that have begun rejecting snowy owl image submissions. Troy Dyer, one of the group's administrators, told Newsweek the issue was first brought to light by several professional photographers in the group. Snowy owls were assessed as "vulnerable" in the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species.

International Landscape Photographer of the Year Friday December 9, 2022
Photographer Benjamin Briones Grandi of Chile is the top winner of the 2022 International Landscape Photographer of the Year competition for a series of varied landscapes, while American photographer Martin Broen wins the Photograph of the Year prize for an astonishing image of a diver in a flooded cave. This year’s edition of the contest, which is open to professional and non-professional photographers alike, drew more than 3,800 entries from around the world.

TTArtisan’s newly announced 11mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens for Canon EF and Nikon F-mount cameras brings DSLRs access to the same lens that has already been available for multiple mirrorless mounts, notes PetaPixel. The $215 lens features a diagonal 180-degree field of view that creates what the company describes as “unique perspectives and creative distortions.” The manual lens (it has no electronic communication with the camera) has a minimum focus distance of just 17cm.
