As we noted recently, the photographer behind viral photos of snow leopards in the Himalayas  admitted they were composite images. Now it has been revealed that the images Kittiya Pawlowski claimed to have made were actually taken by a French wildlife photographer. Alpine Magazine reports that Pawlowski used Sylvain Cordier’s photos of snow leopards in Mongolia’s Altai Mountains, far from the peaks of the Himalaya, to construct the images she later claimed as her own.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: Apple Introduces End-to-End Encryption for iCloud Photos

Apple will introduce advanced security features aimed at protecting threats to cloud-based user data, including Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. The feature uses end-to-end encryption to provide what Apple calls its “highest level of cloud data security” for iCloud data, including iCloud Backup, Photos, and Notes, motes DP Review. That means content is protected even if there's a data breach. Data will also be shielded from request from government authorities.
