TikTok is inching into YouTube territory by testing a new horizontal full screen mode, notes TechCrunch. Users who have access to the test feature will see a new “full screen” button appear on square or rectangle videos in their feed. Earlier this year, TikTok rolled out the ability for users to upload videos up to 10 minutes in length. Meanwhile, reports CNN, a trio of US lawmakers has introduced new legislation that aims to ban TikTok from operating in the United States. TikTok has faced doubts about its ability to safeguard US user data from the Chinese government.
