As we noted recently, Gen Z is nostalgic for the point-and-shoot digital cameras of the early 2000s. Now, notes PetaPixel, TikTok users are bringing back the Fujifilm X100 — and thereby driving up the price of the camera. On Amazon, X100V prices have risen to around $3,000, as much or more than some newer full-frame options from Canon, Sony, or Nikon. Art News: Major Photo Fair Coming to NYC in Sept. 2023

Photofairs, Asia’s largest photography fair, will make its debut in New York next year with a new fair devoted to photography. The inaugural edition of Photofairs New York will hold its inaugural edition alongside the Armory Show at the Javits Center from September 8 to 10, 2023. bringing together  80 to 100 galleries presenting everything from fine art photography to video, VR, and NFTs, event organizer Creo tells Artnet News. “I believe there is demand for a new fair in photo-based works and new technologies,” says Creo CEO Scott Gray.   Read the full Story >>
