Social News: You Can Now Schedule IG Posts from Within the App

If you see your Instagram account as a necessary evil to promote your work, you’ll be happy with its latest feature. From now on, owners of Professional accounts will be able to schedule posts without the need to use Meta’s Creator Studio or third-party services; instead the scheduling feature, now being tested, will be built into the app. To access it, create your post and go to “Advanced Settings.” From there, select “Schedule this post,” notes DIY Photography.   Read the full Story >>

Art News: Is Andres Serrano's Film Too 'Pro-Trump?'

America’s divided politics is dividing London’s art scene: A theater there has canceled a screening of controversial photographer Andres Serrano’s film about the January 6 riots after it deemed the work “pro-Trump,” according to the artist. “That’s ridiculous. I’m as much ‘pro-Trump’ as I am a Jesuit priest,” Serrano told Artnet News. Spanning 75 minutes, the film, called Insurrection, collages news clips and smartphone footage of the January 6 attacks with images from Great Depression-era riots and other historical events.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: Nikon Unveils $16K Nikkor Z 600mm F4 Lens with Built-In 1.4x Teleconverter

Nikon’s newly announced Nikkor Z 600mm F4 TC VR S lens is the longest Z-mount lens Nikon has released yet, offering an 840mm focal length when using its built-in 1.4x teleconverter. (It’s also compatible and further extendable with Nikon’s 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, allowing you to get up to a whopping 1680mm at f/11, adds DIY Photography.) Autofocus is driven using Nikon’s Silky Swift Voice Coil Motor (SSVCM) drive system, which, says Nikon, has ‘higher speed, better accuracy and quieter operation’ than previous AF systems used in its lenses.
