The program, carried out in partnership with Photoville, Aman New York, and Women Photograph, serves as a platform to cultivate a diverse and inclusive community through visual storytelling, notes the company. This year, the initiative to promote diversity in photography expands to new regions across the globe, accepting entries from the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Canada in addition to the United States.

When the Canon EOS R5 launched in 2020, the 45-megapixel camera earned accolades but also stirred concerned about overheating issues, notes DP Review. Now, adds Tech News Crypt, the company has patented a design for a ferrous liquid-cooled mirrorless camera. The patent describes gear that circulates a magnetic fluid to maneuver warmth away from one a part of the camera to a different space where it is cooled. Sometimes you get lucky: Alisa Hemming told her boyfriend Liam Duncan were posing for an engagement photo on a mountain in Canada when lightning struck nearby. Thankfully, they weren’t hurt. Remarkably, the moment was captured by photographer Danika Camba. “We started on a small trail on the backside of Knox Mountain in Kelowna British Columbia,” Camba tells My Modern Met, “and as we were walking I took a few photos of them.” It was a rainy day, but the weather wasn’t at the top of Camba’s mind as they all approached their destination.
