AI text-to-image systems like DALL-E are booming now, and now TikTok is getting into the act, reports The Verge. The video platform recently added a new effect it calls “AI greenscreen,” which allows users to type in a text prompt that the software will then generate as an image. This image can then be used as the background to a video — potentially a very useful tool for creators. When will Instagram offer its own version? A decision that enjoined commercial film permit requirements on federal lands has been reversed, meaning that commercial videographers and filmmakers once again must obtain permits for filming in national parks, forest land and other federal lands. Previously, a district court found that the statute requiring permits was an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment, notes the NPPA. But the recent 2 to 1 appellate decision held that although some portions of the national park system are public forums, a public forum analysis does not apply to filmmaking. Read the full Story >>

Tsuneko Sasamoto was a pioneering photographer. Considered to be Japan's first female photojournalist, she captured the lives of civilians under the country's tumultuous Showa era, noted CNN this
