Spotlight: Photographer Recreates Portraits of Male Models

For his new series "Then & Now,” photographer Doug Inglish asked models to recreate portraits he had taken of them in the early 2000s. The resulting images juxtapose subjects' past and present selves, leaving viewers to reflect on the passage of time, notes CNN. "As I age, there is this longing for the past," Inglish says. ”There's a longing to recreate (the past) or just to be back where you were. Crime Blotter: Churchill Portrait Stolen and Replaced with Fake

Police in Canada are investigating the “brazen” heist of a photograph—indeed, one of the best-known photos of the 20th century: Yousuf Karsh’s portrait of Winston Churchill. An employee at the Château Laurier hotel in Ottawa recently noticed something amiss about the portrait hanging in hotel’s Reading Lounge. On further inspection by Jerry Fielder, who oversees Karsh’s estate, it was found the photo was a fake—thieves apparently stole the original and left a replacement image.
