Some of his favorite and most impressive images show great whites leaping out of the water in a behavior known as breaching. Social News: Instagram Adds New 'Boost' Option For Reels

As it continues to double-down on video, Instagram will now enable brands to turn their Reels into ads, with a new “Boost post” option built into the app. Boosted Reels will appear in Explore, feed, the Reels tab, and Stories, making it easier for brands to be discovered by Instagram users, notes PetaPixel. To be eligible for boosting, Reels must be shorter than 60 seconds and be filmed in a 9:16 aspect ratio, meaning they’re filmed vertically and have a full-screen format similar to the template used by its rival TikTok.   Read the full Story >>

Discoveries: Is This a Photo of Mormon Founder Joseph Smith?

No verified photograph or image of Joseph Smith has ever been found—until, perhaps, now, notes the Deseret News. A descendant of Smith believes he has discovered a daguerreotype of the Mormon founder. The descendent, Dan Larsen, 79, has spent the last two years verifying that the image that he found in a pocket watch is that of his great-great grandfather, adds the Salt Lake Tribune. Larsen discovered the image while sorting through old boxes of family artifacts. The Church of the Latter Day Saints is withholding judgement.   Read the full Story >>
