Members of the media who believe they were mistreated by the Minnesota State Patrol during the George Floyd or Daunte Wright protests can initiate a complaint by submitting a signed complaint describing what happened, notes the National Press Photographers Association, which has information about the settlement you should be aware of. CFexpress Type B cards have been getting the most attention lately, but, notes DP Review, Exascend isn’t content to let the CFexpress Type A format fade away. Exascend has announced a new line of Essential CFexpress Type A cards with read and write speeds of 800MB/s and 700MB/s, respectively. The line includes CFexpress Type A cards in three capacities: 120GB, 180GB and 240GB—the latter being the highest-capacity CFexpress Type A card on the market. “This is a significant increase that should prove useful for photographers and videographers using Sony’s a1, a7 IV, a7S III, FX3 and FX6 camera systems,” adds DPR. Dutch photographer Herman Heukels’s images are some of the strongest visual evidence used by historians to illustrate the Holocaust in the Netherlands, which took the lives of more than 102,000 of the estimated 140,000 Jewish civilians who lived in the country before World War II. Yet despite their ubiquity in books and films, few people outside of scholarly circles know that these images were actually taken by a Dutch Nazi, notes The New York Times. Erin O’Toole has been named curator and head of photography at SFMOMA, a role she’s filled in an interim capacity for the last two years, reports Artnet News. Beginning next month, she’ll lead the department’s research, acquisitions, exhibitions, and publications efforts. During her decade and a half at the museum, O’Toole has helmed exhibitions on Anthony Hernadez; Lew Thomas and the unknown photographer April Dawn Alison, whose output of 9,000-some personal polaroids were discovered only after her death.
