Trending: Photographers Snaps 'Absolute Idiots" Vandalizing Grand Canyon

Officials with the National Park Service are on the hunt for two vandals who defaced a famous overlook on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, notes Outside magazine. Authorities know exactly what the vandals look like, because two photographers snapped pictures of them in the act. “They were absolute idiots, quite frankly,” Karen Wright, one of the photographers who spotted the vandals, told Phoenix television station Fox 10. Industry News: Nikon's Q1 Results Show Imaging Products Profits Up 48 Percent

Nikon has announced its Q1 financial results, showing revenue rising year-over-year in nearly every segment, including the company’s Imagine Products Business. Revenue and operating profit of its Imaging Products Business was 61.2B yen and 13.6B yen, respectively, for Q1 FY2023. That’s an increase of 22.4 percent and 47.8 percent respectively compared to Q1 FY2022. “Despite making 6.1B yen less in revenue in Q1 FY2023 compared to Q1 FY2020 (which is actually the first quarter of the 2019 calendar year, nearly a year before COVID-19 and the resulting economic strain kicked in), Nikon’s operating profit this year is 10.1B yen more than it was pre-pandemic,” notes DP Review.   Read the full Story >>

Italian photographer Antonio Denti is the overall winner of the 2022 iPhone Photography Awards for his image “The Kid of Mosul,” which captures what the contest calls a “moment of tenderness in the dusty rubble of war” in Iraq. Founded in 2007, the year the iPhone was introduced, the iPhone Photography Awards program is the first and longest-running iPhone photography competition.
