Carlsey Bibb and Caden Mills, who will be getting married in October, recently had an Italy-themed engagement photo shoot. Except that the photos were shot at an Olive Garden in Tennessee. “If I didn't know these were taken at Olive Garden, I would have assumed the couple had these taken at a winery!” writes Krista Torres at BuzzFeed. In Focus: Lucas Barioulet Wins the Remi Ochlik Visa d'or Award

Paris-based photojournalist Lucas Barioulet has been named the winner of the 2022 Ville de Perpignan Rémi Ochlik Visa d'or Award for his coverage of the war in Ukraine for the French newspaper Le Monde. The €8,000 (about $8,200) prize goes to the young photographer who, in the opinion of judges, has produced the best report, either published or unpublished, in 2021/2022.  “Here it is not just land that is lost; it is an entire country, its identity, heritage, and economy," notes Barioulet of the struggle in Ukraine.     Read the full Story >>

Agenda: Apply for the 2022 Magnum Foundation Fellowship

You may apply now for the fall 2022 session of the Magnum Foundation Fellowship, a program offering stipends, mentorship, and arts administration experience to early-career photographers. During the fellowship, fellows produce an in-depth project in New York City that demonstrates a commitment to social issues and community based work. “While many fellows are recent graduates, we also welcome self-taught photographers, and those of any age who are both producing impactful projects in New York City and have a genuine interest in nonprofit arts administration," notes Magnum. What We Learned This Week: Court Reverses 'Fair Use' Ruling, Handing Photographer a Victory
