Photographer Brian Hawkins has been photographing moonbows—rainbows created by moonlight—since 2011. To do this, he has spent a considerable amount of time at Yosemite National Park, where the spray given off by waterfalls is illuminated by enough moonlight to create the special phenomenon, notes My Modern Met. Hawkins has even set up a helpful website to share his finding, because while moonbows happen as frequently as rainbows, it can be harder for us to see them in low light. Read the full Story >>

These tough economic times call for bold thinking by camera companies. Leica has announced a new limited-edition analog camera kit which pairs the Leica M-A “Titan” with a Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH. The manual film camera will retail for $20,000 and is limited to 250 pieces worldwide. All external parts are machined out of solid titanium, which, says Leica, results in extreme durability and less weight. The European Union will require all new smartphones and tablets sold within its borders to have a common charging port by the fall of 2024 — and laptops by 2026 —under a new provisional agreement, notes The Washington Post. The move pushes tech companies, including Apple, to use the USB-C type charging port, which is already used in many smartphones and laptops, as well as Apple’s latest iPads and some of its previous-generation MacBook laptops.
