He has shot 13 men’s World Cups, nine Olympic Games and thousands of other matches, and his work has appeared in dozens  magazines. Among the icons he’s photographed: Pele, Maradona, and Messi. As film continues to develop, it’s bound to get sharper, and, notes The Phoblographer, the “film look” —softer, often more flattering for portraiture—is going to fade away. Manufacturers will tell us we should use UV filters to soften the look. But consumers are bound to not buy the film, and we’ll be in a massive problematic circle.
