More than five years after it did away with the chronological feed in lieu of an algorithm-based system, Instagram has officially brought it back, notes PetaPixel. Now you can use the default algorithm that includes suggested posts, or you can choose between a chronological feed with posts by all accounts you follow. In Focus: Trial to begin in ISIS killings of U.S. Journalists, Aid Workers

The only trial in U.S. court for a member of a terrorist cell is getting underway, as El Shafee Elsheikh stands accused of taking part in the capture and murder of journalists and aid workers by the Islamic State, reports The Washington Post. Elsheikh, 33, was one of four ISIS militants who traveled to Syria from London. He is in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, because of the deaths of four Americans who were reporting on or supporting victims of the Syrian civil war, including journalist and video reporter James Foley.   Read the full Story >>

Exhibitions: The Deutsche Borse Photography Prize Nominees

Works from the artists shortlisted for the 2022 Deutsche Börse Photography Prize are on view at The Photographers’ Gallery in London through June. Deana Lawson, Gilles Peress, Jo Ractliffe and Anastasia Samoylova are shortlisted for this year’s award, which explores photography’s ability to “reveal hidden truths and make us look afresh at the world,” notes AnOther.
