Leica’s newly announced M11 is a 60-megapixel Rangefinder offering what the company calls a new benchmark in digital photography, notes PetaPixel. The camera is built around a full-frame backside-illuminate “triple resolution” sensor with an expanded ISO range. (The triple resolution refers to the ability for the camera to record DNG and JPEG formats at 60, 36, or 18 megapixels while still always using the full sensor area, adds PP.) Ocean Art Underwater Photography Competition Monday January 24, 2022
Photographer Luc Rooman’s shot of fighting pike is the winner of the Best of Show top prize in the 10th annual Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition.The image, which also won the contest’s Marine Life Behavior categories, was captured during a night dive in October near Antwerp, Belgium. Sponsored by the the Underwater Photography Guide, the Ocean Art Underwater Photo Competition cerebrates images that document marine life, with the aim of using visuals to support conservation efforts. After some hints of paid Instagram content, now it’s officially a thing. Instagram, notes DIY Photography, has launched Subscriptions, a feature for creators that lets them charge for their Stories and live streams and play them only for those who pay the subscription. Instagram head Adam Mosseri explained in a video that this feature is meant for creators. “The creators do what they do to make a living, and what’s important is that it is predictable,” Mosseri said. “Subscriptions are one of the best ways to have a predictable income.” PetaPixel has more on how the feature works.
