In Focus: Those Who Aided at the Belarus Border

As the migrant crisis evolved in November near the border of Poland and Belarus, photographer Kasia Strek spent several days documenting what she saw. "Migrants in the woods feared everyone, which did make reporting particularly difficult," Strek tells NPR. According to Strek, people came from all over Poland to help the migrants at the border on their own. Since September, a wave of migrants from Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and other countries have been camped at the border in freezing temperatures.   Read the full Story >>

Trending: Photographing Breastfeeding to be Banned in England and Wales

A new law will ban photography of breastfeeding mothers in public, reports the BBC. UK Justice Secretary Dominic Raab said the move would stop women being "pestered, whether it's for self-gratification or for harassment purposes.” Manchester-based designer Julia Cooper began the campaign to make taking pictures of breastfeeding mothers illegal after her own experience in a local park last April.
