Spotlight: A Photographer's Images of Post-Liberation Congo

“The images first appeared on Instagram in May 2020, one by one, like those mythic radio waves from a long-lost galaxy,” notes Hyperallergic, referring to work by Maurice “Pellosh” Bidilou. In the 1970s and ’80s, Studio Pellosh in Pointe-Noire, Congo, was the place to be. There, Bidilou captured a society eagerly emerging from French colonial rule. Tech News: Samsung's New TVs Will Let You Buy Sell and Display Photo NFTs

There’s more NFT news: PetaPixel reports that Samsung will be incorporating an NFT marketplace into its smart TV system, allowing users to browse, buy, sell, and display art on Samsung TVs. Samsung’s new Smart TVs will ship with what it calls its new “Smart Hub,” which is billed as a system that puts content curation and discovery front and center of the viewing experience. The NFT platform is integrated into this system. The introduction of the NFT platform marks the first time a major television manufacturer has supported non-fungible tokens and provides a more tangible way for NFT owners to enjoy their purchases, notes PPD.   Read the full Story >>

Trending: Instagram Accounts to Follow Now
