What We Learned This Week: British Photojournalist Tom Stoddart Dies at 67

This week we learned that acclaimed British photojournalist Tom Stoddart died of cancer on Nov. 17 at his home in the English village of Ponteland. He was 67. Passings: Rock Photographer Mick Rock Dies at 72

Mick Rock, whose images of David Bowie, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry and more recent stars like Theophilus London and Snoop Dogg made him one of rock and pop’s best known photographers, died on November 18 at a hospital in Staten Island, reports The New York Times. He was 72. Rock was most noted for capturing the stars of the flamboyant 1970s. Among his memorable album covers: the bleached-out shot of Lou Reed on “Transformer” (1972) and the image of the members of Queen on “Queen II” (1974).   Read the full Story >>

Spotlight: Marcin Zajac's Magnificent Landscapes

Marcin Zajac is making a mark. Zajac, you may recall, is one of the finalists of the American Photography Open 2021 competition and the winner of the Tamron World Through Your Lens/Travel Prize.
