DJI’s newly announced Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine drones bring dual camera systems with improved sensors, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, improved flight time and more, notes DP Review. Both the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine feature a Hasselblad-branded L2D-20c dual-camera array that couples DJI engineering with Hasselblad's proprietary Natural Color Solution (HNCS) technology. Inside the main camera, which can capture 12-bit Raw files, is a 20MP Four Thirds sensor behind a 24mm (full-frame equivalent) lens with a variable F2.8-11 aperture.   Read the full Story >>

Honor Roll: British Ecological Society Photo Competition Winners

Photographer  Rebecca Nason's closeup of a Kumlien's gull's eye has been named the overall winner of this year's British Ecological Society photography competition, notes CNN. Nason photographed gull — a subspecies of the Icelandic gull — on the island of Shetland, off the coast of Scotland. “I started photographing the eye detail, noting a gorgeous granite colored iris with dark speckled plumage detail around the eye," said Nason.
