Facebook (now renamed Meta) is facing another challenge, this one a lawsuit filed the founders of the now-defunct photo app Phhhoto. They claim that Mark Zuckerberg and other Facebook executives approached them about a partnership in 2014 but instead went on to launch a competing product that mirrored Phhhoto’s features, notes The New York Times. Maybe not, but, if it’s unapologetically displayed, it can be a kind of antidote to erasure.” So notes The New Yorker, which spotlights photographer Jocelyn Lee’s latest book, Sovereign, a selection of her images of women who range in age from their mid-50w to their early 90s, posing naked, frequently outdoors. “A nude portrait of a woman older than, say, sixty is an unusual image—even a taboo one. The SteallPro Reflex from Light and Motion isn’t cheap (it’s available now for $1,096) but it does seem to be an interesting concept, notes DIY Photography: The company says the StealPro Reflex is the first true continuous strobe hybrid. There are two models: The Reflex and Reflex S offer up to 9000 Lumen output depending on your power source. They’re IP65 rated, meaning they’re completely dust-tight and are protected from “low-pressure jets” of directed water. They’re also drop-proof and D-Tap compatible.
