Saturday in Woodstock
Cold weather has finally arrived, just in time for an opening reception sure to warm things up. The Center for Photography at Woodstock launches its winter shows with a champagne and chocolate reception on Saturday, January 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Kiss & Tell presents work by eight artists from the US and abroad who explore intimacy through
photography. The title, inspired by kissing sites photographed by Sara Macel, suggests both the veiled privacy we share with intimates, as well as the provocative act of photographing it, thereby
bringing the personal realm into the public sphere. Featured Artists: Karen Brett, Elinor Carucci, Kelli Connell, Todd Jordan, Kyung Duk Kim, Sara Macel, Johnny Miller, and Bharti Parmar.
The Kiss and Tell photo booth, where couples may snap self-portraits that will become part of the exhibition, will be open at the reception.
Lisa Robinson's series, Snowbound, hones in on man-made objects and traces of human existence left amidst the stillness and cover of snow. Like a haiku poet, the artist seeks beauty in plain language by observing ordinary things closely. Ms. Robinson, of Queens, NY, will give a talk during the reception.
Admission to the Center for Photography at Woodstock's galleries is free and open to the public, Wednesday-Sunday, 12-5pm. The current exhibitions are on view through March 18, 2007, at 59 Tinker Street, Woodstock NY 12498 / T 845 679 9957.
