Hurricane Sandy Cancellations

A number of events scheduled for today and tomorrow have necessarily been postponed. Here, today’s announcements, with further updates to follow in tomorrow’s DART Board.

CCNY’s annual benefit auction has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 6-8 pm. You can pre-register online [$25] and now have until noon tomorrow, October 30, to bid online. The live auction will take place at 25 CPW, 25 Central Park West at 62nd Street.

The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center has extended the photo submission deadline for Philly Photo Day to midnight, Wednesday, November 1. The announcement reads, “Everyone is invited to submit ONE photograph that was taken on October 26th in Philadelphia.  Submit your picture here. Be a part of our huge exhibition of a day in the life of Philadelphia opening on December 6th.” 

The opening reception for JJ Peet | Defend_Station has been postponed to Sunday, November 4, 6-8 pm. On Stellar Rays, 133 Orchard Street, NY, NY. Information.

The NurtureArt 2012 Annual Benefit Auction has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 4th, VIP Preview from 6-8 pm; and the live auction on Monday, November 5th, from 7-9 pm. Charles Bank Gallery, NY, NY. Preview/tickets.

The Architectural League has cancelled their Tuesday, October 31 programCurrent Work: Mike Taylor. The announcement reads, “We are hopeful that the lecture will be rescheduled for later in the week. Please check the League's website, www.archleague.org, tomorrow for updated information.”

This just in from Harper Levine, of Harper’s Books, in East Hampton, NY: "Due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Sandy, I am taking the unusual step of sending out a Sunday evening list with some of the highlights of our upcoming exhibition at Paris Photo. If the power stays on after the storm abates, I will send another list before our books depart to France. But if the weather forecast is accurate, this is likely it.” Information.
