Aperture Foundation celebrates its 60th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner & Photography Auction. Starting at 6pm, with cocktails and a silent auction, the event will continue with dinner, the live auction—with Daile Kaplan of Swann Galleries at the gavel—and honorifics. Festive attire is in order to pay tribute to Henry Buhl, Sondra Gilman & Celso Gonzalas Falla, John Gutfreund, Lynne & Harold Honickman, Mark Levine, Frederick Smith, and to the many great photographers and writers whose work has shaped the Aperture Legacy. Works by Nan Goldin, Elliot Erwitt, Sally Mann, Martin Parr, and David Levinthal, among others, are being offered.
