Thursday, April 9-Sunday, April 12: The Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair at Powerhouse Arts
As Brooklyn’s only fair dedicated exclusively to fine art printmaking, the four-day event brings together more than 50 exhibitors, including print-focused galleries, academic print programs, and self-representing artists.
This year, the fair deepens its celebration of all things printmaking with a juried national exhibition by @manhattangraphicscenter, celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary.
Programs are designed to explore the history of printmaking and deepen engagement with printmaking processes and communities. The lineup includes daily talks, live demonstrations, film screenings, guided booth tours, printshop tours, and dedicated spaces for community partners. Social programming for exhibitors and visitors alike will further encourage dialogue and connection throughout the weekend. On April 11 from 1-2pm, in conjunction with the exhibition Felipe Baeza: Anima at Print Center New York, participants are invited to create prints inspired by Baeza’s layered imagery and material processes. This workshop is free with entry, but is limited to 25 participants and spots are first come, first served. No experience is necessary. All materials provided. Click for the entire list of programs.

Save the Date: April 16–19: The Other Art Fair Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Navy Yard
Whether you're a seasoned collector or just looking for something cooler than a mass-produced poster for your living room, The Other Art Fair Brooklyn is where the traditional art world loses its ego.
Presented by Saatchi Art, this isn't your typical "hushed whispers and white walls" gallery experience. Hosted at the rugged, industrial Agger Fish Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the fair flips the script by cutting out the middleman. Instead of dealing with stiff dealers, you’re buying museum-quality original works directly from over 120 independent and emerging artists.
The vibe is intentionally irreverent and high-energy—think live DJ sets, interactive installations, and craft cocktails paired with affordable price tags (often starting as low as $100). It’s a four-day celebration designed to make discovering "the next big thing" feel less like an elite investment and more like a great night out in Brooklyn.

Spring 2026 Dart Book Prize Deadline Extended to Friday, April 17
The DART Book Prize—one of our favorite features—is back. For this Spring 2026 edition, readers—and I know many of you are artbook lovers—are invited to write a caption for the photo above. But first some information to get you headed in the wildest possible direction.
You can tell just by looking that this is event is situated in The Flatiron District [then called The Photo District] because four out of the five participants are attired in black. The fact that the goods being rifled through are photo books and press proofs offers another clue.
Click to read the entire page: three winners will be offered a choice of books on art, photography or design.
