How often have you heard somebody say, "Feast your eyes on this!"? As compliments go, it doesn't get much better when the subject is art. So if you have a hungry eye, here's your chance to fill up.

Following on the success of "Look Behind You," a salon-style show at Giant Robot New York last March (see the March 15^th issue of DART), "Snack Isle" features tiny works, 5" x 7" or smaller, that will cover the gallery walls. Each of the 60 artists selected for the exhibit is contributing two to five pieces. The range of styles and mediums of the hundreds of little pieces on view will be like a paradise of snacks for your consumption. And many of the artists will be on hand for the reception this Saturday night.

When I saw David Sandlin's name on the roster, I got him on the phone to request art for this story. Turns out he's a visiting artist at the University of Georgia this year, holding the Lamar Dodd Professorial Chair of Art. He won't get back to his ‘hood for the opening party, but you can feast your eyes here on the art he created especially for "Snack Isle."
