Media Watch: Images of Beaten Women Stir Controversy

Altered images depicting a beaten  Kamala Harris, Kate Middleton and other notable women are stirring controversy around the world. The images, from Italian artist and activist aleXsandro Palombo, were created as part of a domestic violence campaign on Instagram and have also drawn praise from some for graphically calling attention to the issue. This is not the first time Palombo has raised awareness of violence against women through impactful imagery. At the start of 2020, similar photos of Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel, Michelle Obama, and others also appeared on the streets of Milan, notes PetaPixel.
