Industry News: Proposed Standard Fees for Commercial Photos on Federal Land

The Congressional Research Service has published a new report titled “Commercial Filming and Photography on Federal Lands” that discloses the proposed fee schedule to be shared across agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service in the Department of the Interior, and U.S. Forest Service in the Department of Agriculture. Commercial still photography requires a permit and fee only if it’s in a location that’s not open to the general public (or if there are additional administrative costs or if outside models/props are brought in).
