Trending: Magnum and Getty Images Under Fire for Selling Images of Child Abuse

Magnum Photos and photojournalist David Alan Harvey have come under scrutiny after some of Harvey’s photographs labeled as ‘Teenage’ ‘Thai Prostitutes’ from 1989 surfaced in the Magnum archives, where users could purchase the images or share them online, notes PetaPixel. The discovery was made by Fstoppers's Editor Andy Day, who then also looked into the archive of Getty Images and found what he says are images of sexually exploited children. “Many of the children are identifiable,” Day notes. He adds that UNICEF guidelines instruct news organizations to obscure the identify of children identified as victims of sexual abuse or exploitation.
