In Focus: Trump administration Restricts US Travel to Cuba

The Trump administration is implementing new steps to further restrict Americans' travel to Cuba. The restrictions bar group "people-to-people" visits — cultural and educational tours that have allowed thousands of Americans to visit the island, notes ABC News. Also banned are cruise ship stops. The goal is to "restrict non-family travel to Cuba in order to hold the Cuban regime accountable for its repression of the Cuban people and its support of the Maduro regime in Venezuela,” notes the Commerce Department.
