An oasis of tranquility has opened in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall. The grand space, with its 48-foot high ceiling, is currently filled with an exhbition of more than 50 photographs celebrating nature. Created by the septegenarian Korean photographer, Ahae, who also operates an organic farming concern, these carefully observed images present the world he views throughout the seasons from a window in his studio. With several of the photographs presented as 30-foot-high lightboxes, benches for quiet contemplation, and peaceful music in the background, the space has become, for the next several days at least, a respite from the urban hustle.

The exhibition remains on view through Saturday, October 22, at Grand Central Terminal. Information.
