The third annual Creative Week continues with a blizzard of events celebrating creativity in design, advertising, new media, and the arts in general. Every day through Sunday, May 15th, there will be numerous events to choose from. Many of the programs are free and all information is immediately visible on the well-designed Creative Week calendar/website.
Wednesday May 11 through Sunday, May 15: The 4th annual New York Photo Festival 2011 will fill the Brooklyn waterfront neighborhood of DUMBO with over 3,000 photographs and present over 40 events across 11 venues. This year’s main exhibitions, curated by Enrico Bossan and Elisabeth Biondi, are presented under the shared rubric PHOTOGRAPHY NOW: engaged, personal, and vital. They offer distinct perspectives on a shared theme: the state of documentary photography today. Information.
Wednesday, May 11, 8 pm: Apprentice Pictures will host a live presentation of Tomorrow Always Comes, a film noir sex romp comedy thriller by Royston Scott and Jacob Burckhardt. Information.
