Saturday Night in New York, for Everyone!
Jordin Isip, whose work was featured in the American Illustration 25th Anniversary Timeline, is having his first solo exhibition, opening this Saturday with a reception for the artist from 7 to 10 pm at the Aidan Savoy Gallery. The show runs through April 28, 2007.

Never Been, the exhibition's title, refers to the artist's obsessions, and the ambiguities and chaos that often shadow the human condition. Using people as the subjects of his haunting narrative paintings, Isip incorporates scraps of litter, discarded magazines and other detritus of the city streets, creating images that are as much about the art-making process as they are about the allegories he presents. Jordin received his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and is an established and awarded artist/illustrator who currently teaches at Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute.
