The 45-year-old’s husband of eight months, Manuel, is a maintenance worker at el Centro Quirúrgico de la Belleza. The doctors there agreed to give Luz a liposuction and lipectomy for half the normal price. Although she had not considered plastic surgery before Manuel presented this opportunity to her, she feels this is a gift from her husband, and she’s made a promise to herself to live a healthier lifestyle.
