"What a salad" is a children's book, which tells of an extraordinary day shared between a little girl and her grandmother, where they travel from reality to imagination all while preparing a salad together. This book emphasizes the bond and relationship between generations. I worked with various forms of mixed media, collage, paint, drawing and ink to create a surreal fantasy that matches the storyline with the illustrations. I created this book as a tribute to Didile, my grandmother.
