"Bearbrick + Timepiece" The project was conceived by editor Jason Jaehyun kim to celebrate and combine both modern pop culture phenomenon, bearbricks and time-honored traditions of iconic watch brands that stand the test of time. NYC based fashion designer and illustrator, Soyoon Park focused on the distinctive elements of what makes each timepiece truly iconic over the years with their triumphs in technology and design. Most importantly, she tried to highlight and capture the unique brand images that each timepiece has established due to their successful association strategy with aviation, airline, leisure sports and diamond industries. Her elaborate watercolor illustration work as a perfect medium to infuse different expressions of each brand on empty Bearbricks.
