For an article "Diary of an Aesthete". The story is about Count Harry Kessler, sophisticated German diplomat and connoisseur, who lived from 1868 to 1937 and passed hardly an inelegant day in between. W.H. Auden, in a review of the English-language edition of his diaries, dubbed Kessler "one of the most cosmopolitan men who ever lived".
