Photographer Vanessa Marsh’s series “Everywhere All at Once” is an elegy to the stars, notes Ellyn Kail at Feature Shoot. Marsh creates the negatives for her dreamlike images of the night sky in the darkroom, carefully setting her own acetate drawings over photographic paper and exposing them to light for precise periods of time. Photographer Pablo Delano has long collected images of Puerto Rico: In some ways, notes The New York Times, it is in his blood, since his father, Jack Delano, had gone to Puerto Rico in the 1940s as a photographer for the Farm Security Administration. Long interested in museums, Delano the younger was inspired to open his own: The Museum of the Old Colony, a movable installation comprising images, text and objects that will open in the coming weeks at the Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: The Leica CL Is a Crop Mirrorless Camera with a Classic Design

Leica’s newly announced CL may share a name with a camera released in the mid-70s, but it is a thoroughly modern ILC, notes DP Review. The APS-C mirrorless camera features a 24MP sensor, 10 frames-per-second continuous shooting and 4K/30p video capture. While it joins the the minimalist Leica TL2 in the company’s APS-C crop sensor lineup, the new camera has a classic design and interface that will be more appealing to serious photographers, adds PetaPixel. Also unveiled is the new Elmarit-TL 18 mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, which Leica says is the smallest wide-angle APS-C pancake lens available on the market.   Read the full Story >>
