Brides are faced with many decisions ahead of their wedding day, not the least of which is the choice of photographer. Sometimes things get tense. Bustle, for instance, recently fielded a question from one woman whose husband-to-be wants save money by having his ex photograph their big day. “I told my fiancé I wasn't comfortable with hiring her. He got mad and said he's made the final decision, we’re using his ex, end of story. Is this a red flag?” the woman asks. Bustle’s answer: “A red flag?! Exhibitions: Ed van der Elsken's Colorful Life

Ed van der Elsken (1925–1990)  was one of the most beloved Dutch photographers of the 20th century, notes the Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands, which is featuring the exhibition “Ed van der Elsken: Up Close” through Sept. 13. Van der Elsken believed mastering color was the sign of a truly skilled artist,  and he pioneered an influential style of street photography best described as “organized chaos,” adds The Guardian, which has a portfolio. Tech News: Lightroom Now Has the Ability to Turn Photos into Videos

Adobe has introduced new user controls into Lightroom with its June 2026 update—including the ability to turn photos into videos using generative AI. The new Generate Video option will generate an AI video using either Adobe Firefly or Google Veo, using the photo as a starting point. The option is located by navigating to the top menu and selecting Photo, then Generate Video. Since its founding in 176. Mother Jones magazine has championed visual storytelling that helped "expose injustice, demanded accountability, and built empathy needed to evoke change." So notes the publication as it looks back at 50 years of important photojournalism.
