The US Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday partially reversed a sweeping ban on the sale of foreign drones and components. But the ban still covers China’s DJI, which produces some of the world’s most widely used drones, notes Flying magazine. A number of groups, including the American Soybean Association, had raised concerns about the breadth of the FCC order, adds Reuters. Peter Read Miller, whose images helped define how generations of fans experienced sports, died on Jan. 11, reports The Sporting Tribune. He was 87. "We mourn his loss with his family and the global photographic community, and honor a legacy that will endure,” noted Canon USA at X. For more than 35 years, Miller worked as a staff and contract photographer for Sports Illustrated, where his images appeared on more than 100 covers, a rare distinction that placed him among the most prolific visual storytellers in the magazine’s history, notes TST.
